If you would like your work showcased on turntothebside.com, please read this page carefully before getting in touch…

Before we can showcase any of your work, we require that you fill out a simple form, and read our terms and conditions. When submitting the form, please be sure to include a small photo of yourself, and a few lines about your work. Take a look at the current artist pages for an idea of how these will be used. You only need to submit a form once, we’ll keep it forever and then if you want to send us new things it can be without fuss.

If you have any questions about copyright issues and intellectual property, please take a look at the Intellectual Property Office website, and our terms and conditions. We cannot take any responsibility for the copyrighting of your work, it is up to you to be able to prove that you were the original creator. We will always wait for your complete consent before using your work either online or for an exhibition, and you will always be given full credit for the piece.

Email: submissions@turntothebside.com

IMPORTANT: Please, at least initially, contact us from your student email address, as proof of student status.

If you cannot send large attachments from this address, or just never use it, please supply us with an alternative email address. It is important because we are strictly a platform for student artists.

Get in touch at this address. Please send all files you wish to submit as attachments, rather than linking us to a blog, Flickr.com account or download sites. However, if you want to show us more but aren’t sure, by all means, include these links.

For work that needs to be sent by post (eg. a DVD) please send us samples of your work by email first. If we like it, we’ll give you a postal address and take it from there!

Specifications for digital submissions

Music: Please send tracks as mp3s with a minimum bitrate of 128 kbps

Images: We prefer .jpg format, in as high a resolution as you can. Please make sure that photographs of work (eg. paintings) are high quality and well lit. Also, please title the picture file.

Note for film-makers

Please send us a link to your online channel so we can see a sample of your work, and if we are interested we will ask you to post us a DVD featuring your latest and greatest pieces! We host with high-definition sites, so if your work is available in HD, that would be ideal. If not, no disaster.
