Goth Trad

Goth-Trad is, technically speaking, a badman.

He hit the dubstep world head first in 2006 with a set at DMZ and has since had a bunch of releases on Mala’s label Deep Medi as well as pioneering a brand new genre in his native Japan called MAD RAVE, which in two words just about sums him up.

Here’s a link to his Myspace playlist where you’ll hear all you need to get an idea of his style. One of our Eve all-time dancefloor favourites is Itinerant Priest, which still hasn’t had a release – about a year and a half since he first played it in the UK. It’s difficult to explain what it sounds like on a big system, but I think it’s probably the sound that Mad and Rave make when they have sex – make sure you wait till the second drop. Sublimation is another track we just can’t wait to hear for the first time in the UK. His djing is dark, mad and fast and everything you would expect from someone who’s had releases on all the biggest dubstep labels about.
Goth-Trad is a massive international artist, a dance music legend in China and Japan and we’re very lucky to be having an event during the little time he’s on his European tour.

Here’s an article in The Japan Times for you who love more than the music:
