Emalkay already has a healthy back catalogue of releases under his belt – most notably the 2007 anthem ‘Mecha’, which helped pioneer the heavier sound of dubstep with its cinematic, sluggish beats and gut-wrenching bass. Emalkay followed this up in 2008 with ‘Explicit’, which saw him snapped up by THE prestigious Dub Police label. But by far his biggest accomplishment yet is dance-floor destroyer ‘When I Look at You’:

Heavily supported by the scene’s biggest artists, it was chosen by both BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and the Guardian newspaper as single of the week, and has been receiving a healthy amount of airplay courtesy of Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

Emalkay is one of the most exciting talents to emerge on the scene in recent times, and is certainly the one to watch out for in 2010.
