JOHN ELY, Warwick

“I have nurtured a particular strong attachment to photography depicting scenes of decadence, discontent, and abandonment, however I have a very broad-minded and experimental attitude to my own creations. This series of photographs are a development of work I was doing where I was trying to fabricate domestic UFOs. I am currently exploring where scientific anomaly ends, science-fiction and conspiracy begin in relation to the artifice of image making.”

99% of my work is shot on medium format, the only 2 cameras I use are a Hasselbald 500c and a Holga 120. This is just a preference and I don’t preach to digital users like some film users do, its just a personal choice…”

SIDDY YUSSOF, Kings College

“I’m a Philosophy student and I love photographs. My work is not specified to any genre as I observe that different situations present a myriad of possible perspectives, hence photos taken in Rome won’t always come out being about the historical monuments of the Roman Empire, but everybody knows that.”
